This weekend some of Harriers travelled over to Brighton to take part in the BM Ride, BM 10K and Marathon. There were some outstanding performances in both events but also some great reports of the amount of support that you all gave each other. It makes us so proud to be Harriers.
Starting the day off was the BM ride, which is a new event this year. Gary Smith took part and finished his 50K in 1.42.28. It sounds like he did a really great job, well done.
Next up was the 10K. David Ayling brought the Harriers home in a time of 34.45. Sue Fry followed in a time of 38.43. She achieved first in her age category, fantastic running, well done.
In the marathon our first 3 finishers were Charlotte Long in an amazing time of 3.28.43. She was followed by Wendy Oates in a time of 3.45.24 and then Chris Cox in a time of 4.00.01. Well done to Karen on her PB time of 4.42.51.
Well done to everyone who took part in an event this weekend. You are all amazing and really inspiring to the rest of us. We hope you get lots of time to rest and recover now!!
If anyone else took part and I haven’t mentioned you please get in touch. The results don’t make it that easy to search for our Harriers.
