I couldn’t have been prouder of our club today at Crowborough 10K. What an amazing turn out and what fantastic support. I for one couldn’t hear anything but my name being called as I ran up the finish straight, and I know it was the same for a lot of you.
The weather today turned out to be OK as the rain held off and it wasn’t too chilly, in fact most of us braved vests (after much debate in the hall beforehand!!). Crowborough has a little hill in it, so it’s challenging race for all.
Despite this we had 3 first in age categories Graham Purdye, Lisa Goldsmith and Frances Delves.
How could I write this report without mentioning Lorraine’s fantastic finish, with total grit she managed to over take 2 people in the finishing straight. Well done.
Well done to all our Harriers today, great running but even better support. This is what makes the club special.
